In the inspections carried out by police teams in Ordu to reduce traffic accidents, 16 thousand 640 vehicles and their drivers were checked in the last week.

In the statement made by the police, it was reported that 50 traffic accidents with injuries occurred across Ordu in the last week and 60 people were injured in these accidents.

Within the scope of the inspections carried out by the Provincial Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate teams to reduce traffic accidents, 64 drivers were charged with drunk driving, 73 drivers were charged with modified driving, 38 drivers were charged with drifting and incorrect lane changing, 25 drivers were charged with red light violations, and 1001 drivers were charged with speeding. Penalties were imposed on 43 drivers for exceeding their limits, 43 drivers for talking on their mobile phones while driving, 30 drivers for not using seat belts, and 160 drivers for not using helmets.

Along with other inspections carried out by the teams, a total of 16 thousand 640 vehicles were checked, 2 thousand 515 vehicle drivers were charged with various crimes, 46 vehicles were banned from traffic and the driver’s license of 64 vehicle drivers was withdrawn.
