59th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey: Winner of the fourth day, Tobias Lund Andresen – New leader in the general classification Andresen – Summary of the 4th stage

22-year-old Danish cyclist Tobias Lund Andresen from the DSM-Firmenich PostNL team won the 137.9 kilometer long fourth stage of the 59th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, running between Marmaris and Bodrum. Andresen, who won with his attack at the sprint finish, rose to first place in the general classification. After Andresen, Dutch Danny van Poppel from Bora-Hansgrohe team took second place, while German Henri Uhlig from Alpecin-Pimapen team took third place.

64 kilometers left: The escape group of 8 people consisting of Samet Bulut, Petros Mengs, Owen Geleijn, Calum Johnston, Manuele Tarozzi, Vinzent Dorn, James Whelan, Gianni Marchand has a 1:40 advantage in front of the peloton.

50 kilometers to go: Although the peloton tried to pace the team under the leadership of Polti-Kometa, the team of general classification leader Giovanni Lonardi, increased its advantage to 2:48 with the leading group of eight.

48 kilometers left: Samet Bulut (Spor Toto) in the red jersey started to fall back from the escape group. Samet, who fell behind Vinzent Dorn on the first climb, will lose the red jersey if he cannot collect points before the last climb. The difference between the escape group of seven and Samet is 20 seconds, while the peloton continues to follow with a difference of 2:51.

45 kilometers to go: Vinzent Dorn passed the second category climbing gate in first place. The German name, who increased his points to 14 in the King of the Mountains classification, became the new owner of the red jersey.

35 kilometers to go: The advantage of the leading group of six, consisting of James Whelan, Calum Johnston, Manuele Tarozzi, Owen Geleijn, Gianni Marchand and Vinzent Dorn, in front of the peloton was reduced to 40 seconds. Approximately 8 seconds ahead of the peloton is the double pursuit group consisting of Petros Mengs and Marcin Budzinski.

30 kilometers to go: The 40-second advantage of the leading group of six continues. The pursuit group was caught by the peloton.
20 kilometers to go: Vinzent Dorn, from the leading group of six, is also slowly starting to break away. The gap with Peloton continues to be 40 seconds.

10 kilometers to go: With Vinzent Dorn falling behind, the leader of the five enters the last 10 kilometers with a 40-second advantage.

7 kilometers left: Four people remained in the leading group: Marchand, Tarozzi, Whelan and Johnston.

3 kilometers left: Manuele Tarozzi was left alone in the only escape, but it does not seem possible for him to resist the pace in the peloton.

Last kilometer left: With the pace of the sprinter teams in the peloton, the escape came to an end completely. In the mass sprint finish, Tobias Lund Andresen took the first place, leaving Danny van Poppel behind, with his attack in the last section. Henri Uhlig is the last person to complete the podium.

The TOUR will continue tomorrow with the fifth stage, which is 177.9 kilometers long and will be run between Bodrum and Kuşadası.
