Meeting in Ormanya, Europe’s largest natural life park, 2nd grade students were informed about waste reduction and recycling.KOCAELI (IGFA) – Kartepe Süleyman Şah Primary School 2nd Grade students met in Ormanya, Europe’s largest natural life park, on ‘World Book Day and Libraries Week’. Students came together at the event organized by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality at the Forest Library, “Zero Waste in Kocaeli – Learning Zero Waste from Alp Yahya Dede!” He read the book called. Information was given on the efficient use of natural resources, prevention of waste, waste reduction and recycling.

CONVERTING 1 TON OF PAPER SAVES 17 TREES

In the Forest Library, which is intertwined with nature, children celebrated the day by reading their books on zero waste, accompanied by bird sounds. At the event organized by the Department of Environmental Protection and Control, the importance of recycling was emphasized by sharing with the children that books are made of paper, paper is obtained from trees, and that 17 trees were saved from being cut down by recycling 1 ton of paper waste.
