A “Mediation Panel” was held in Kocaeli within the scope of the “Field Actors Training Project to Strengthen the Awareness of Combating Violence”.

According to the statement made by the Governorship, Panel Chairman and Governor Chief Civil Inspector Osman Kaymak, who visited Governor Seddar Yavuz, Abant İzzet Baysal University Sociology Department Head Prof. Dr. Yahya Mustafa Keskin and Adem Solak, Chairman of the Foundation for Struggle Against Violence (HEGEM), gave information about the project.

Later, in the program held at the Governorship Akçakoca Hall, Panel Chairman Kaymak and the panelists made speeches.

Mediation practices were discussed in the panel organized to provide support in resolving disputes arising from social relations.

The panel included Kocaeli Chief Public Prosecutor Ferhat Kapıcı, Kocaeli University Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk, Rector of Gebze Technical University Prof. Dr. Hacı Ali Mantar, Deputy Governor Ertuğ Şevket Aksoy, Provincial Police Chief Faruk Karaduman, Deputy Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Melih Doğruel, Kocaeli Health and Technology University General Secretary Barış Yılmaz, Eastern Marmara Development Agency General Secretary Mustafa Çöpoğlu and institution managers attended.
