U18 Turkey Championship, which is among the championships organized by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for the development and dissemination of youth football, is starting. Mersin will be represented by Yeni Mersin İdman Yurdu, Akdeniz Belediyespor and Mersin Demirspor in the championship in which 141 teams from 76 provinces across Turkey have the right to participate.
As a result of the matches to be played according to the single-round league method in 24 separate group centres, 22 with 6 teams, 1 with 5 teams and 1 with 4 teams, between 25-28 April, the 24 teams that came first in the group will advance to the second qualifying round. Yeni Mersin İdman Yurdu, Akdeniz Belediyespor and Mersin Demirspor, among the teams representing Mersin, want to pass the first round in the championship in which they will participate for the first time and be among the 24 teams.
COMPETITORS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED
U18 Football Championship groups were announced to the sports public on the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) website. In this regard, the Adana group, which includes Yeni Mersin İdman Yurdu and Mersin Demir Spor, consists of Hatay İskenderun Meydan, Gaziantep Anadolu, Osmaniyespor Football and Niğde Belediyespor.
In the Nevşehir group where Akdeniz Belediyespor will compete, there are Adana 1954, Aksaray Anadolu Gençler Spor, Hatay Yayladağı Spor, Konya Meram Karakartal and Karaman Muzaffer Uğur Spor.
