Mesut MADAN/BURDUR, (DHA) – BURDUR Chamber of Independent Accountants and Financial Advisors President Gürhan Özveren requested that solutions that will ease the workload of financial advisors be urgently implemented.
Burdur Chamber of Independent Accountants and Financial Advisors President Gürhan Özveren made a press statement with the accountants registered in the chamber. Emphasizing that the burden on accountants and financial advisors has reached unbearable levels, the number of declarations and notifications received through professionals is increasing day by day, and the contents of these declarations and notifications are becoming more difficult, Özveren said, “While it is being discussed in developed countries to reduce weekly working days to four days in order to increase work efficiency, we, as financial advisors, We are confined to our offices almost 24/7. Although it is ostensibly requested from taxpayers or employers, almost all the data needed regarding economic and social life has become collected through financial advisors, while this situation causes professionals to be crushed under a very heavy workload. “The fact that the systems used to receive information do not work properly and become clogged during busy periods increases the stress of our colleagues who are racing against time. Our colleagues are now unable to prepare declarations and notifications in a healthy way, even during routine periods.”
Stating that accountants and financial advisors are forced to work under heavy workload, Özveren said:
“It is clearly seen that a total of 56 declarations and notifications will be given in the tax calendar announced by the Revenue Administration in April alone. In addition to these declarations and notifications, there is also the tax system, which was last implemented 20 years ago and whose general notification and circular were published only 2-3 months ago, which still contain many hesitations in implementation. We do not find it fair and feasible to require the work to be done on inflation correction procedures to be completed in the same calendar. When official, administrative and weekend holidays are combined with Ramadan Feast, there are only 18 working days left in April due to the total 12-day holiday. and it is not possible to give the notification in a healthy way. We have conveyed the solution suggestions that will ease the workload of financial advisors to the officials of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance many times, both in writing and verbally, in every meeting we have had, that financial advisors are crushed under the heavy workload and that the burden on their shoulders has now reached an unbearable level. It has often been stated that the physical and mental health of our colleagues cannot bear this burden. “In order to eliminate these problems, which have grown as a result of our suggestions being kept silent for years, it is necessary to simplify the declarations and notifications and modernize the information systems infrastructures.” (DHA)
