As a result of the meticulous work carried out by the gendarmerie teams, Keleş’s head, which was thought to have been cut off with an axe, was found in a well approximately 300 meters away from his body.

Some suspects were detained in the incident, in which entrances and exits to the village were restricted and the statements of all suspects regarding the incident, as well as their fingerprints, were taken and matched with DNA samples. İbrahim K., who was detained for 8.5 months, was released at the hearing on May 18, 2023, considering the lack of concrete evidence and his health condition.

The court postponed the hearing to July 10, 2024 to eliminate the deficiencies in the file and hear other witnesses.
