Yusuf DEMİR/ANTALYA, (DHA) – ANTALYA State Opera and Ballet (Antalya DOB) opened its curtain with the special children’s opera ‘Rapunzel’ for April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. The work, which received full marks from the little ones, brought the joy of the holiday to the stage with its fascinating adventure and specially composed music.

The work called ‘Rapunzel’, staged at Haşim İşcan Cultural Center, brought together children who wanted to experience the joy of the holiday. While the hall was overflowing with the little audience, we stepped into the magical world from the moment the curtain opened. The work, which is about the adventures of the fairy tale hero ‘Rapunzel’, brought smiles to the faces of children and families. The colorful costumes, impressive decorations and successful performances on stage gave the audience an unforgettable experience.

THE TALE WAS CARRIED TO THE STAGE

‘Rapunzel’, one of Andersen’s best-known fairy tales, stood out with the musical themes of composer Ahmet Sait Karabulut. The opera, which appeals to audiences of all ages with its modernized story written by N. Zeynep Ergüven, was directed by Sabri Özmener, with decor design by Özgür Usta, costume design by N. Gazal Ertan, choreography by Kürşat Kılıç, and lighting design by Mustafa Eski.

The children’s opera ‘Rapunzel’, which children watched with pleasure, received a standing ovation. The work will be performed again tomorrow at 11:00 for the children who missed it.
