Kayseri Talas Youth Center team taught zeybek to primary school students in Batman with a 1-month training within the framework of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day events, and the performance of the little ones received great applause.

Talas Youth Center put on a magnificent show with the students of Yunus Emre Primary School in Sason district of Batman on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. For the performance, Mehtap Coşkun Akkar, Tuba Altay, Emine Yeşilçimen and Yunus Emre Ayduslu, who worked as a classroom teacher at Yunus Emre Primary School, prepared their students for the show with a zeybek lesson that lasted about a month. The show was completed with the guidance of Folk Dances Federation Kayseri Provincial Representative Mehmet Polat, who was connected via remote video call.

Mehmet Polat, who attended Sason, where the show will be held, with his Folk Dances team, completed the program with the zeybek shows he and his team prepared for the people of Sason, after the show of the little ones. Thus, cultural heritage was transferred from one end of Turkey to the other.

Following the program, Sason District Governor Murat Mete and Sason District Director of National Education Veysi Bozkurt congratulated the teachers who prepared for the show and Mehmet Polat and his team, who went from Kayseri to Sason for the program, and thanked them on behalf of the citizens who followed the show in Sason. – KAYSERİ
