According to the information received, relatives who had not heard from Akif Eymür, the driver of the taxi with plate number 37 T 6508, since noon yesterday reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

During the search carried out by gendarmerie teams and Eymür’s relatives, the taxi used by Eymür was found in the forest area of ​​Toygaören village, and his body was found approximately 500 meters away. In the investigation, it was determined that Eymür was shot with a gun.

While Kastamonu Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams determined that M.B. committed the incident during their investigation, MB, who was determined to have taken a taxi from the Araba district and then committed the murder, was taken into custody.

Following his procedures at the gendarmerie, the suspect was referred to the Vehicle Courthouse and was arrested by the judgeship on duty.

On the other hand, images recorded by a workplace security camera of the moments when murder suspect M.B. got into Eymür’s car on the day of the incident were obtained.

In the footage, MB walking on the street stops the taxi driver passing by. MB then gets into a taxi and drives away.

Following the incident, the body of Eymür, who was taken to the morgue of Kastamonu Training and Research Hospital, was brought to the Araba district by hearse.

Eymür’s body was buried in the family cemetery in Altınören village after the funeral prayer at the Veznedar Mosque.
