The meeting held in the Gagauzian national assembly was attended by autonomous Gagauzian Foreign Minister Anastasia Ciolac, Gagauzian chamber of commerce president Mihail Pashali and representatives of the Gagauzian business world.
The meeting, where evaluations were made about strengthening Turkish-Gagauz cooperation and brotherhood ties and possible commercial activities, ended after bilateral commercial talks and the presentation of gifts and a Turkish flag by KONIAD President Mustafa Balta on behalf of the Konya business world to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Anastasia Ciolac. In the second stage of the visit, the delegation went to the Gagauz culture house and celebrated April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day with great enthusiasm by presenting gifts to Gagauz Turk students.
At the opening of the celebration program, Turkish Republic Comrat Consul General Adnan Hayal and KONIAD President Mustafa Balta made speeches about the importance and nature of April 23, commemorating the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades in arms with respect and longing. After the celebrations, which continued with the folk dances of Gagauz Turks, the delegation went to lunch, hosted by the government of Gagauz region, where local Gagauz dishes were eaten.
After the meal, the KONIAD delegation visited the facilities where regional production activities were carried out under the guidance of government officials and continued its program with a visit to the Turkish Consulate General.
