The man who warned the theft suspect died after being stabbed in the heart

In Bursa, 41-year-old Ömer Z., who argued with the cashier who accused him of theft at the market, stabbed and seriously injured 62-year-old Ramazan Yılmaz, one of the customers who intervened in the situation. While Yılmaz died in the hospital he was taken to, the suspect who fled to Istanbul was caught by police teams. The fight was recorded on the market’s security camera.

The incident took place yesterday at around 20.30 on Davutkadı Street, Davutkadı District, Yıldırım district. Ramazan Yılmaz, who entered the market to shop, went to the cash register after purchasing his needs and saw the cashier arguing with Ömer Z. When Yılmaz accused Ömer Z., whom the cashier accused of stealing, first an argument and then a fight broke out between them.

HE WAS STABBED IN THE HEART, DIED IN THE HOSPITAL

During the fight, Ömer Z. stabbed Ramazan Yılmaz in the heart. While Yilmaz fell to the ground covered in blood, the suspect ran away. Medical teams arrived upon the notice of market employees and took Ramazan Yılmaz to Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital. However, Yılmaz could not be saved despite all the interventions.

HE FLED TO ISTANBUL AFTER THE MURDER

The Public Security Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau teams launched an investigation into the incident and took action to catch the suspect. The teams examined the cameras in the market and the area and determined that Ömer Z. went to Istanbul by passenger bus. The teams went to Istanbul and caught the suspect Ömer Z. The proceedings against the suspect, who was brought to the Acemler Public Order Branch Directorate, are continuing.
