Two important fairs are held in the carpet sector, which is one of the sectors in which Turkey is a net exporter. While the CFE Carpet and Floor Coverings Fair held in Istanbul has become the most important carpet fair in the world, Gaziantep Carpet Fair continues to be the meeting point of the Middle East and the nearby geography.
Zeynal Abidin Kaplan, president of the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association, stated in his statement that they attach importance to fairs and that they prepare for each fair with great excitement. President Kaplan said in his statement: “Fairs are important platforms where buyers and sellers meet. Even though trade changes over time, fairs always maintain their importance. There is no other type of organization where many buyers and sellers can meet at the same time and place. Gaziantep Carpet Fair has been adding great vitality to the city economy for years and offers significant benefits to our industry. We are looking forward to our fair this year with great excitement. Our companies are preparing with great enthusiasm to showcase their most beautiful designs and newest collections at the fair. This fair, which could not be held for several years due to the pandemic and earthquake, is eagerly awaited this year with the participation of the most important actors of the sector. “I hope that our fair will be beneficial for our industry, our city and our country,” he said.
Gaziantep Carpet Fair will be organized by TÜYAP Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. between 28-31 May 2024 at Gaziantep Middle East Fair Center.
