In his statement on his social media account, Minister Yerlikaya stated that Operation Sibergöz-33 was organized in Mersin, Istanbul, Hakkari, Tekirdağ and Niğde, under the coordination of the Gendarmerie General Command’s Cyber Crimes Department, to commit qualified fraud, illegal betting and child obscenity crimes using information systems. .
Stating that 16 suspects were caught within the scope of the operation, Yerlikaya shared the following information:
“As a result of the operations, it was determined that there was a money movement of 18 million 500 thousand liras in the bank accounts of the suspects, according to initial findings. As a result of the operations, 18 mobile phones, 13 computers, many SIM cards, portable memory, CDs, cameras and a large amount of Turkish liras were seized.”

Yerlikaya stated that Operation Sibergöz-34 was carried out in 11 provinces against those who committed aggravated fraud and laundering of criminal assets.
Informing that 47 suspects were caught during the operation, Yerlikaya said:
“Cybereye-34 Operations organized in Kocaeli, Adana, Istanbul, Samsun, Gaziantep, Mersin, Izmir, Denizli, Düzce, Ordu and Bursa as a result of the work carried out by the Kocaeli Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Department under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security’s Cyber Crimes Department.” The suspects purchased ‘containers, electric cars, etc.’ from the e-commerce platform Facebook Marketplace. “It was determined that they made unfair profits by demanding money from the citizens they advertised and contacted under the name of ‘product price’. As a result of the operations, a large number of digital materials were seized.”
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya congratulated the security forces who carried out the operations.
