April 23 Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Bayburt

April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm with various events in Bayburt, as well as all over the country.

The events held in the garden of Martyr Recep Eşiyok Primary and Secondary School started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem. A speech was made at the side events stating the meaning and importance of the Day. Later, folk dances and various local shows were performed by the students.

Following the performances, the ceremonies ended with the presentation of the awards to the students who were ranked in the competitions held on the occasion of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day by Bayburt Governor Mustafa Eldivan, Mayor Mete Memiş and Deputy Garrison Commander Infantry Colonel Adem Ağırbaş.

Bayburt Governor Mustafa Eldivan, Mayor Mete Memiş, Garrison Deputy Commander Infantry Colonel Adem Ağırbaş, Bayburt University Rector Prof. attended the program. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen, AK Party Bayburt Provincial Chairman Turgut Çalışkan, Provincial Police Chief Nihat Uzun, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Dr. Talha Övet, Provincial Director of National Education Rahmi Güney, institution directors, students and citizens attended.
