GİRESUN (AA) – April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day was celebrated with ceremonies in Espiye, Güce, Yağlıdere and Eynesil districts of Giresun.
The ceremony in Espiye district was held in the market area.
District Director of National Education Turgut Öztürk said that April 23 was the day when the Turkish nation officially declared its dominance over its existence and destiny.
The ceremony ended after the students’ performances.
The ceremony in Güce district was held at the district stadium.
District Director of National Education Kahir Al said that April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm.
The ceremony, where students read poems indicating the meaning and importance of the day, continued with performances.
A ceremony was held at Mustafa Kemal Primary School in Yağlıdere district.
The ceremony started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, and performances were performed by the students.
