Statement from the AK Party Mayor given to the Cleaning Unit in Hakkari Municipality

AK Party provincial deputy chairman Yakup Aktaş, who works as a trainer in Hakbel within Hakkari Municipality, made a written statement that the mayors assigned him to the Cleaning Unit duty.

Aktaş included the following statements in his statement:

”We are people who love Hakkari and the people of Hakkari, and I am engaged in politics as the provincial vice chairman of the AK Party in our province, with the motto of serving the public in the path of justice, serving the truth. I am honored to be the cause and companion of our President and Chairman, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is the hope of the Ummah and the oppressed, and to serve the people of Hakkari in the AK Party. While I was working as a trainer in Hakkari Municipality Hakbel company, I regret the decision that I was assigned as a garbage collector within the Directorate of Cleaning Affairs due to my position as AK Party provincial deputy chairman, with a political sanction decision by the mayoral office on 19.04.2024. Garbage collection duty is an honorable profession for us, like every citizen, but the mentality that assigns us to this task has also saddened us that they presented this task in a derogatory way in their own partisan media. Besides, it is completely different from my duties as a coach. It should not be forgotten that we are people who have devoted themselves to this cause, our party’s love of service and our Leader, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Politics should be a profession that should be done with the language of love and respect, and should be used as a tool of public service that will ensure social peace. Politics should be integrative, not personal divisive. For this reason, we want it to be known that despite all the attacks and injustices, we will continue to serve the people of Hakkari in the ranks of the AK Party, loyal to our state. We offer our respects to the public.”
