Varto News – April 23 celebration with horses and donkeys in the village school

Fatih ÇELİK / VARTO (Muş),(DHA)-April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day was celebrated with a horse and donkey cortege march at the school with 16 students in Dutözü village of Varto district of MUŞ.

A different event was held on April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day in Dutözü village, which has 35 households and a population of 400, approximately 20 kilometers away from Varto district of Muş. Villagers also attended the celebration at Dutözü Primary School, where there were 16 students, 1 principal and a teacher. The celebrations, prepared by Village Headman Cengiz Aktaş and school principal Nida Kazanç, started with a horse and donkey parade in the school garden. After a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, the students presented the shows they prepared. The celebrations were watched with interest by the parents and were greatly appreciated.

Dutözü Primary School Principal Nida Kazanç said, “Today is April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day. We took a walk with the children. The children worked hard for this event. We especially celebrated with horses and donkeys. We did not want to deprive the children of their love of animals and nature. The children did what they loved most. “They marched with donkeys and horses,” he said.

THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR WAS A GUEST

After the celebration held in the village, the students were the guests of Varto District Governor Musa Ayyıldız. The students visited District Governor Ayyıldız in his office and talked about the celebration they held in the village and said that they were very happy. Later, the students visited the District Gendarmerie Command and watched the demonstration of the bomb detection dog named ‘Çatı’. The students completed their district tour by visiting the Directorate of National Education and the Police Department. (DHA)
