Kocaeli Folklore Sports Club President Ceren Açıl stated that the club, which came second in Turkey in the “Thof Adults Organized Branch” last year, proudly returned to our city with the first place in Turkey in the “Thof Organized Branch” this year, said: “Since 2001, we have participated in the finals organized by the Turkish Folk Dances Federation every year. Our club, which participated as a finalist on behalf of various institutions and organizations on behalf of our city, later became a sports club affiliated with the federation and represented our city in the competitions it entered, has entered the rankings many times and came second in Turkey in the finals held in Kütahya in 2022, and lastly in 2023 at 17.00. “It has become the pride of our province by becoming the Turkish champion among 15 provinces in the finals held in Gaziantep in November 2023,” he said, thanking the teachers, dancers and everyone who provided financial and moral support, and said that their success will continue.
