Mayor of Zonguldak’s Alaplı district, Nuri Tekin, examined the great damage caused by adverse weather conditions. Evaluating the damages experienced in Sahil Park, Mayor Tekin explained the disaster in the region.

Stating that great damage occurred in Sahil Park, Alaplı Mayor Nuri Tekin said; “I can say that we, as a region, experienced a real disaster. Major damage occurred in Sahil Park following adverse weather conditions. Our basketball court and tennis court became unusable. There is great damage to our children’s playground. Many of our gaming and seating areas were demolished and became unusable. “Our only consolation is that there was no loss of life due to adverse weather conditions in our district,” he said.

Alaplı Mayor Nuri Tekin stated that they took precautions against adverse weather conditions days in advance; “We did not experience any major negativities in our district, except for Sahil Park. In the past years, when such adverse weather conditions occurred, floods occurred in the city center of Alaplı and workplaces were flooded. We put an end to this problem with the infrastructure works we carried out. With the precautions we took days ago, we ensured that no major problems occurred in our district. Major damage occurred only in Sahil Park. “Our only consolation is that there was no loss of life,” he said.
