Showers and storms were effective in the Eastern Black Sea Region in the evening. In Yalı District of Espiye district, the waves formed in the sea due to the effective storm caused damage on the Giresun-Ordu route of the Black Sea Coastal Road.
Due to the impact of the storm, a section of the concrete wall running parallel to the coastal road collapsed as the waves eroded the lower part. As a result of the collapse of the wall, a part of the highway collapsed at Güce Junction. Highways and traffic police teams were dispatched to the region upon the notice of passing drivers.
While the teams take security measures in the area where they place warning signs, transportation is provided in a controlled manner in a single lane.
WARNING FROM THE GOVERNORSHIP
Giresun Governorship also made a written statement regarding the effective storm. In the statement where drivers were warned, it was said, “Although the wave storm coming from the sea has lost its initial destructiveness, it continues to be violent. It is important for drivers who will travel on the route to be careful and obey traffic signs and markers.”
