The opening of the Ata Training Center, which Mersin Metropolitan Municipality broke new ground in order to strengthen the fire department, in Turgut Özal Boulevard, Halkkent District, will be held tomorrow. Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer said, “At Ata Training Center, which is a Turkey-wide, perhaps world-class facility, we will provide training and seminars on disaster relief not only to our own personnel, but also to public and private sector personnel who will apply to us from all regions of Turkey.” said.
Ata Training Center, which is a center where fire personnel will be better equipped and trained against emergencies, consists of 3 buildings with a closed area of 900 square meters on approximately 7.5 decares of land; It also includes the main administration building, conference area and dog training center.
Ata Training Center, which has a 3-storey training tower in the middle, also includes a firefighters’ running track, exercise area, well, observation attack station, fire room, smoke room and a facility for tanker accidents and fuel fires.
Firefighters from home and abroad will be able to come and receive training from Ata Training Center, which has the most comprehensive features among the 9 actively operating firefighter training centers in Turkey.
