The renovation works of the Saturday Market, located in Edirne’s 1. Murat District and built in 1995, continue rapidly. In the market, which will be made compliant with earthquake regulations as a closed marketplace, the construction of columns continues after the foundation has been laid.

The Saturday market, which has been serving for 30 years within the borders of 1.Murat District, one of the busiest neighborhoods of Edirne, continues with its renovation works. Columns appeared in the renewed market.

The demolition of the market, which had been serving the people of Edirne for years, took place in the past months, in order to provide better service to the citizens of Edirne Municipality. After the demolition, groundbreaking work continued. In a short time, columns appeared in the market to be renewed in order to serve the citizens. The market is expected to end in a short time.

The renovation works were approved by the decision taken by the council at the council meetings held by Edirne Municipality in May. Following the decision, demolition work was completed in the area where the Saturday market is located. Currently, the column removal process, which is one of the important works, is continuing. Due to the renovation works, it serves the citizens in the area between Margi and Migros.
