While the risk of drought in Turkey is increasing day by day, Denizli was among the provinces most affected by global climate change. At the Agricultural Drought Provincial Crisis Center Commission meeting in Denizli, the increasing danger of drought due to climate change in recent years was evaluated.
Within the framework of the “Agricultural Drought Combat Strategy and Action Plan” implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, an Agricultural Drought Provincial Crisis Center meeting was held in Denizli to evaluate the drought danger, which has increased due to the effects of climate changes in recent years, in the light of meteorological data.

The Agricultural Drought Provincial Crisis Center Commission met in the governorship meeting hall under the chairmanship of Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkum.
Speaking at the meeting, Denizli Governor Ömer Faruk Coşkun said that they came together to organize the Drought Provincial Crisis Center meeting held within the framework of the agricultural drought action plan.
Governor Coşkun pointed out that the whole world and our country are facing the threat of drought due to the course of the precipitation regime related to climate change in recent years, and noted that the issue will be evaluated through this commission as Denizli.
Wishing for a rainy season, Governor Coşkun stated that there are necessary precautions to be taken, that work will continue in line with the recommendations to be taken at the meeting to be held, and that all stakeholders should be sensitive to the implementation of the recommendations.
At the meeting, while climate change, which has increased in recent years, was discussed, measures that could be taken against possible drought events were discussed.
