“International Konya Mystic Music Festival”, the seventh stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festivals organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will meet its fans again on September 23.
The festival, which is the meeting point of mystical music from various parts of the world and is held for the 20th time this year, will end on September 30.
The festival’s programs will meet the participants in Karatay Square, Kayalıpark, Kılıçarslan Square, Mevlana Square, Mevlana Museum Garden, Taş Bina Culture and Art Center and Zafer Square.
As part of the program, a North African Sufi Music concert will be performed by the team from Algeria on September 26. On September 27, Şanlıurfa State Turkish Folk Music and Sıra Gecesi Ensemble will meet the audience with the United Arab Emirates Bedouin Music concert. On September 28, Yesefi Group, an original art collective from Kazakhstan, will perform.
Yesefi Group, which brings its songs to listeners in different geographies such as Turkey, Mongolia, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, won the GRAND PRIX award of the 6th International Mystic Music Festival held in Konya in 2009. 7 musicians, gathered under the artistic direction of Emil Eldos, convey the teachings of Hodja Ahmet Yesevi to the audience.
Abdullah Kaymak, known for his hymns specific to the Afro-Arab Sufi tradition, will give a concert with his hymn repertoire consisting of Damascus, Egyptian, Libyan, Egyptian and Maghreb music within the scope of the “International Konya Mystic Music Festival” on September 29. On the same day, the International Mevlana Foundation Sema and Music Community will meet the audience with a Sufi music concert.
