In Malatya, one of the two children who fell into the irrigation canal drowned, the other is wanted.
Police, fire brigade and health teams were sent to the region upon the notification that two children, who were around the irrigation canal passing through the Malatya Sugar Factory land, fell into the canal.
The Syrian national DG (2), who was taken out of the canal by the citizens and officials staying in the tent cities inside the factory, could not be saved despite the intervention at the Malatya Training and Research Hospital.
The teams continue their search and rescue efforts for the other child, who is stated to be in the canal.
Mustafa Katipoğlu, Head of the Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Brigade Department, noted that the people around said that there was another child in the canal, and that the teams continued to work in this direction.
