Mehmet ÇINAR/ANTALYA, (DHA)- Russian and Ukrainian students received their report cards in Antalya, which is one of the cities most preferred by the citizens of CIS countries such as Russia and Ukraine in terms of settled life, as in TOURISM.

A report card ceremony was held simultaneously with Russia and other CIS countries in schools where children of former Soviet countries such as Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus, especially Russians residing in Antalya, are educated according to the curriculum of the Russian Ministry of National Education.

Students who start their education on September 1 every year, go on summer vacation on May 25. In Antalya, which started the 2022-2023 academic year on September 1, students received their report cards this week in three Russian Schools in Konyaaltı, Muratpaşa and Alanya districts.

Report ceremonies took place on three separate days for primary, secondary and high school students this week at the International Private Eduant Russian School in Konyaaltı, one of the regions where the citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus and other CIS countries live heavily. The students of the year in primary and secondary schools were also selected, and the winners were awarded.

Stating that they have been operating in Antalya as the Russian School since 2000, the owner of the school, Viktor Bikkenev, said, “Only the children of the citizens of Russia and the surrounding countries can study at our school. Our curriculum is the curriculum of the Russian Ministry of National Education and we are in the status of a foreign school. There are approximately 400 in primary, secondary and high schools. As in Russia, our academic year, which started on September 1, ended on May 25. Due to the migration to Antalya after the war, the number of our students, which was normally around 150, has more than doubled and this year our capacity is full. In our classes, Russian and Ukrainian students took classes in the same class,” he said.
