According to the ministry’s statement, a vehicle that came to Turkey from Iran was evaluated as a suspect during the controls carried out by the Esendere Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate and was referred to a detailed search.

A total of 12 kilograms of morphine was seized in 12 packages, first wrapped in cloth bags and then in cling film.
While the judicial process regarding the operation was started, one person was arrested and sent to prison.
