Bursa Metropolitan Municipality received the return of its investments in the beaches. After İnciraltı Beach, Kurşunlu Beach was awarded with the ‘Blue Flag’, the symbol of cleanliness.
In Turkey, the number of beaches with the ‘Blue Flag’, which is accepted as an indicator of clean seas, continues to increase. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change announced that 551 beaches, 23 marinas, 14 tourism boats and 10 individual yachts won the Blue Flag awards in 2023. New beaches have been added to the beaches with the blue flag in the Marmara Region. There are 9 beaches in Kocaeli, 6 in Tekirdağ, two in Bursa and Zonguldak, and one each in Kırklareli, Sakarya, Düzce and Edirne. Two of these beaches are located in Bursa. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality continues to reap the fruits of its investments in the beaches in Bursa, which has a total of 277 kilometers of sea and lake shoreline. The Metropolitan, which won the ‘Blue Flag’, a high quality indicator, for the first time in Bursa, for the first time in Iznik İnciraltı Public Beach, won the Blue Flag for both İnciraltı Beach and Karacabey’s Kurşunlu Public Beach this year.
