Zehranur Aydemir, AK Party Ankara Deputy from Rize, first went to the Ankara Courthouse and received her mandate. Ömer Aydemir, whom he married two months ago, and members of the AK Party Youth Branch did not leave Aydemir alone.

Receiving his mandate, Aydemir’s next stop was the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The youngest member of the assembly was also greeted privately during registration. The parliamentary registration staff welcomed Aydemir with a bouquet of flowers and chocolates.

Delivering his mandate, Aydemir then gave fingerprints. After completing the registration process, Aydemir was given the badge by his wife Ömer Aydemir.

“I’m ready because I have a great leader behind me”

Answering the questions of the journalists after the recording, Aydemir wished all the deputies of the 28th Term to be beneficial.

Stating that he is aware of his responsibility as the youngest deputy of the 28th Term, Aydemir said, “I am excited. I hope that I will be able to deliver the responsibility of being both Ankara deputy and Turkey’s youngest deputy in the best possible way. I will be in the Parliament as the voice of the youth. I will do my best to be both a follower and a performer of every work we promise to young people.” said.

Stating that there are 5 deputies under the age of 30 in the parliament, Aydemir underlined that 4 of them are AK Party deputies, “Currently, we have 5 deputies under 30 years old. Four of them are from the AK Party. As young deputies, we will be the voice of the youth, for the youth. In these five years, we will work in the best way and in such a way that we will put our signature under the best works.”

“When the assembly opens, you will always sit on the podium as a clerk member, a long shift. Are you ready?” Aydemir answered the question, “I am ready because there is a great leader behind me and I am aware of the responsibility and trust that this leader has placed on me. I will do my best to evaluate this responsibility he has given me in the best way possible. I will deliver whatever I can, I hope.” gave the answer.

The wife of the deputy, Ömer Faruk Aydemir, said that it would be an intense work and said, “I hope he will give his due. He who trusts in him will not fail those who believe.” His wife, Ömer Faruk Aydemir, gave the badge to the deputy Aydemir.

Who is Zehranur Aydemir?

Aydemir, who was born in Rize and was born in the Çankaya district of Ankara in 1998, completed his university education at Ankara TOBB University of Economics and Technology.

Zehranur Aydemir, who studied Industrial Engineering with a full scholarship, did a double major in Computer Engineering.

Zehranur Aydemir graduated from Industrial Engineering in 2021 and Computer Engineering in 2023.

Working as a software engineer in a defense industry company, Aydemir started his political life in 2016 at the AK Party Ankara Youth Branch Political and Legal Affairs Commission.

Aydemir, who undertook various duties in the AK Party Ankara Provincial Presidency and within the AK Party Headquarters, is still a member of the AK Party Youth Branch VQA and the Head of R&D and Education.

Zehranur Aydemir speaks fluent English and intermediate German.
