The application process to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) has started for those who want to be nominated by political parties and voters for the presidential candidacy.
According to the YSK’s calendar for the Presidential Election to be held on 14 May and the 28th Term Parliamentary Election, the candidacy applications of those who want to be nominated by the voters for the presidential candidacy will end at 17.00 tomorrow.
The Board will complete the examination of the candidacy applications of those who want to be nominated by the voters, and as of 23.00 on the same day, the shortcomings and those whose candidacy are rejected will be notified to the candidates.
TIME UNTIL MARCH 21 TO THE CANDIDATE REJECTED BY YSK
The deadline for re-examination of the candidate whose application has been rejected by the YSK, will expire on March 21 at 15.00.
Applications regarding the request for re-examination will be decided by the Board at 17.00. Among those who want to be nominated by the voters for the presidential candidacy, those whose applications are accepted will be announced by the YSK at 20:00.
6 DAYS FOR 100K SIGNATURES
The 100 thousand signatures required for the candidates to be nominated by the voters will be collected on 22 March-27 March.
The application deadline for the presidential candidacy by political parties will expire on March 23 at 17.00.
The final presidential candidate list will be published in the Official Gazette on March 31 and the presidential election propaganda period will begin.
