Murat Yuksel passed away

Researcher-Author Murat Yüksel(76), one of the valuable educators raised by Senykent, passed away in the hospital where he was treated. Yüksel, who was stated to have been treated at the hospital for a while due to his illness, passed away on Friday, March 17, in the evening.


Researcher-Author Murat Yüksel was born on January 14, 1947 in Senykent. After graduating from primary and secondary school in Senykent, he completed his high school education at Isparta High School in Isparta Center. Later, he graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Arabic-Persian Languages ​​and Literatures. Working as an assistant at Adana Regional Museum, Yüksel worked as Trabzon Provincial Public Library Manager for 5 years. Yuksel, who was sent to Hungary to conduct investigations by the Ministry of Culture, was later appointed as a lecturer at Karadeniz Technical University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature, and retired in 1997.

After his retirement, Murat Yüksel, who focused on his scientific studies in Isparta, published scientific articles and wrote columns in many newspapers and magazines, also has many published books. The funeral of Yüksel, whose death caused great sadness, will be buried in the Asri cemetery after the afternoon prayer to be held in the Asri cemetery after the afternoon prayer on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
