Russian politician Semyon Bagdasarov suggested occupying Istanbul and annexing it to Russia. Bagdasarov said, “Turkey is in a difficult situation right now. Let’s turn (this situation) to our advantage. This crisis must end with the destruction (of Turkey) and the annexation of these lands to us.” he said.

Stating that Turkey is in a difficult situation due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, Russian State Duma Member Semyon Bagdasarov called on Russian administrators and soldiers.
