Describing the incident, business owner Melis Alptekin said, “A man was kicking the mannequins. He started shouting, ‘You are Muslim, these are exposing the female body. How can you put these here?’ used the phrases.
In the incident that took place around 17.00 yesterday in Fatih, lifeless mannequins in front of the underwear store were attacked. The attacker kicked lifeless mannequins dressed in lingerie and dropped them to the ground.

When the woman who owned the store got to the door, she saw the attacker walk away, shouting “These are exposing the female body”. When the images of the attack were published on social media, he received a reaction.

Business owner Melis Alptekin said, ‘All of a sudden, the mannequins started to fall to the ground. I thought it was the wind because it was wind, but then I went up. A man was kicking mannequins. Then he started shouting angrily, ‘Who owns this place? Then he said, ‘You are Muslims, they are exposing the female body. How can you put them here?’ he started shouting. It was removed with the intervention of the people around. I was so scared I started to tremble. I was surprised at what happened,” he said.

“He came again this morning,” said Alptekin. “We are not afraid anymore. I did not make a complaint. Because even if I did, I thought what could be done,” he said.
