TEACHERS’ DAY MEETING FROM RIZE MUNICIPALITY Rize Municipality organized a meeting program for retired teachers working in Rize on the occasion of 24 November Teachers’ Day. Rize Governor Kemal Ceber, Rize Mayor Rahmi Metin, Rize Provincial Director of National Education Engin Emen and teachers working in the city and retired teachers attended the program. After the opening speeches in the program, flowers were presented to the teachers. In his speech, Rize Provincial Director of National Education Engin Emen said, “I would like to thank our Mayor Rahmi Metin for providing us with this meeting. On this occasion, I commemorate our colleagues who were martyred in our education community with mercy, gratitude and love.” said. Rize Mayor Rahmi Metin said, “I wish 24 November Teachers’ Day to be beneficial for teachers, students, our country and our world. Teaching is the art of awakening the lions within us, and we are those craftsmen. Every teacher sees that ore in the students he trains and brings it to the society. As a person who lives, was born and grew up in Rize, I am the mayor. I feel the responsibility of my younger friends and the teacher community and say that I have to be successful. Let them say after us, “Look, he came from the education community, what a wonderful mayorship he made. Look, someone who was born and grew up in Rize, who knows Rize from neighborhood to neighborhood, village by village, by thread by thread, could come and do good services in Rize”.
