The special team formed within the body of the Interpol-Europol Department of the General Directorate of Security continues its successful work against the leaders of the criminal organization and criminals who escaped abroad. Many criminals, including fraud, threats, looting and mafia-type criminal organization leaders, were caught thanks to this special team formed in the countries they fled, while many criminals were extradited to Turkey.
A special team formed within the Police Interpol Department monitors the movements of fugitives abroad and determines their locations. Afterwards, these criminals are caught with intensive contact and effective cooperation with the Interpol units of the relevant countries. In this way, 7 criminal organization fugitives, including Thodex founder Faruk Fatih Özer, were caught in countries where they were found, and the extradition process to Turkey was initiated. In addition, this year, 84 criminals were extradited to Turkey to stand trial.

Among the leaders of the criminal organization caught abroad by Turkish Interpol and expected to be extradited, Faruk Fatih Özer, the owner of the crypto money application Thodex, the leader of the criminal organization, Barış Nek, the leader of the armed attack, Volkan Reçber, the leader of the Göl gang, many injuries, threats, Binali Camgöz, wanted for the crimes of looting, damage to the workplace, murder, Mehmet Sabri Şirin, nicknamed “Meks”, the leader of the Şirinler crime organization, and Serkan Kurtuluş, the leader of the crime organization, who are wanted as the perpetrators of many incidents such as looting and murder, and his deputy, Lider Camgöz.
THODEX FOUNDER OZER’S RETURN PROCESS CONTINUES
Faruk Fatih Özer, the owner of the crypto money application Thodex, who fled to Albania on April 20, 2021 and for which a red notice was issued, was caught in Flora, Albania on August 30, 2022. Faruk Fatih Özer, who was caught as a result of the effective cooperation between Turkish Interpol and the Albanian Police Service, is currently detained in Albania and the extradition process continues.
CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION LEADER CAUGHT IN ITALY
Barış Neck, who was caught by Georgian Interpol as a result of the efforts of Turkish Interpol and then released with judicial control in Georgia, was caught in the hotel he entered in Rimini, Italy on 3 August 2022. Barış Neck, who carried out many armed attacks, damage to property and looting in Istanbul, was arrested in Italy, where he was caught after a red notice was issued as a result of the work carried out by the Interpol-Europol Department of the General Directorate of Security after he was released in Georgia. LAKE gang LEADER VOLKAN REÇBER IS ARRESTED IN MONTENEGRO
Volkan Reçber, the leader of the criminal organization known as the “Lake gang” in public because of the armed clashes with other criminal organizations in Istanbul and throwing the vehicles they used in the incidents into the lake in order not to be found, was caught in Montenegro Podgorica Airport on July 30, 2022, as a result of the intense efforts of the Turkish Interpol. After Volkan Reçber was released with a judicial control decision in the trial in which he was tried in January 2021 for the crime of illegal possession of weapons in Romania, Turkish Interpol ensured that Reçber was caught in Montenegro as a result of the intelligence it obtained. The extradition process of Reçber, who was detained in Montenegro for his extradition to Turkey, continues.
RED BULLETIN HAS BEEN ISSUED AND CATCHED
Binali Camgöz, also known as “Deniz” and wanted for many injuries, threats, looting, damage to the workplace, murder crimes in İzmir, was caught in Montenegro as a result of the work of the Interpol-Europol Department of the General Directorate of Security. Turkish Interpol issued a red notice for Camgöz, who had a false identity card in Georgia, where he escaped illegally, and was determined to have crossed into the Balkan countries with this identity, and ensured his arrest on July 6, 2022. Camgöz is detained in Montenegro until his extradition to Turkey is completed.
SIRINLER CRIME ORGANIZATION LEADER ARRESTED IN THE NETHERLANDS
Mehmet Sabri Şirin, nicknamed “Meks”, the leader of the Şirinler crime organization, who was involved in armed looting, murder and injury, was caught in the Limburg region of the Netherlands after the red notice issued by the Interpol-Europol Department of the General Directorate of Security. The extradition process of Şirin, who is currently imprisoned in the Netherlands, continues.
THE LEADER OF THE CRIME ORGANIZATION AND HIS ASSISTANT WILL BE RETURNED BY ARGENTINA
Serkan Kurtuluş, who carried out many acts of armed attack, damage to property, looting and murder in İzmir and wanted as the leader of the criminal organization, was caught on 11 June 2020 in Argentina with his right arm, Leader Camgöz, as a result of the attempts of the Turkish Interpol, with false identities. The extradition process of persons detained in Argentina to Turkey continues.
