With worldwide interest followed ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ series received approval for the 21st season from ABC, the US-based television channel owned by Disney.

In 2019, Grey’s Anatomy became the longest-running medical drama in television history, surpassing ER, which introduced George Clooney to the world. The series continues to maintain this title.

Grey’s Anatomy is also the longest-running scripted series in ABC TV history. The series first appeared on the screen in 2005.

The medical drama, which was released on the streaming platform Hulu as well as Netflix in the USA, thus reached new audiences.
