According to statistics, it has been revealed that most of the deaths in Turkey are due to heart diseases. Denizli State Hospital Cardiology Department Doctor İbrahim Oğuz stated that heart diseases are frequently seen in young people after the Corona period and said, “The main factors include the prevalence of smoking, bad eating habits, avoiding sports, salt use and many other factors. However, with a recent study, we encountered striking results. After the corona period, citizens attributed especially heart attack-related deaths to the Covid vaccine. However, one study was conducted among 20 million people with a 1-year follow-up. According to the results of the study, it was revealed that more heart diseases and deaths were observed in those who were not vaccinated than in those who were vaccinated. It is not the Covid vaccine, but rather Covid that increases the risk of heart attack in people. Since he first caught Covid disease and then had a heart attack, people attribute this to the vaccine. “But this study revealed that it was exactly the opposite,” he said.

“JUST LEFT ARM PAIN IS NOT ENOUGH FOR A SYMPTOM OF HEART ATTACK”

Oğuz stated that, contrary to popular belief, left arm pain is not enough to be a symptom of a heart attack and said, “Pain in the form of pressure on the chest, which is a symptom of a heart attack, makes us think more about a heart attack. There are many people who present with needle-like pain during seasonal transitions and hot-cold changes, but such pains are more suggestive of muscle pain. Pressure and heaviness-like pain in the chest is a direct symptom of a heart attack. “Only left arm pain is not very important; if it is accompanied by left arm pain, sweating and shortness of breath, then it can be considered a heart attack,” he said.

“MUST STAY AWAY FROM PASTRY AND FAT FOOD”

Giving advice to minimize the risk of heart attack, Oğuz stated that a sedentary life should be avoided and said, “Sports should be given great importance. We need to stay away from pastries and fatty foods. Everyone should have LDL, which we call bad cholesterol, measured. If this value is high, treatment should be started. Because LDL, which we call bad cholesterol, constantly accumulates in the veins and causes blockage in the veins. Especially those with chronic diseases such as diabetes, blood pressure, and kidney failure should go for regular check-ups. “One of the most important factors is that smokers should quit smoking,” he said.
