11 defendants, 8 of whom were detained, including the couple Dilan and Engin Polat, appeared before the judge regarding the shooting of social media phenomenon Banu Parlak’s beauty center.
At the hearing at the Küçükçekmece 3rd Criminal Court of First Instance, detained defendants Dilan Polat, her husband Engin, her father-in-law Sezgin Polat and the complainant Banu Parlak were present. Other detained defendants were connected to the hearing via Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS).

The Polat couple’s daughter and Engin Polat’s sister Kübra Uzun also attended the hearing as spectators. Dilan and Engin Polat, who were brought to the courtroom, cried when they saw each other, and when they came together, they held hands. Dilan Polat also cried while looking at her daughter during the hearing.
DECISION TO CONTINUE THE DETENTION OF DİLAN-ENGİN POLAT
It was decided that the 8 detained defendants, including Dilan Polat and Engin Polat, who cried throughout the hearing, would continue in this state.
Journalist Emrullah Erdinç explained the details of the hearing, which lasted 5 hours, by phone to the program Söylemezsem Olmaz today. “I was less than one step away,” Erdinç told Dilan Polat, adding, “His hair was gray, he was tired, he was crying all the time.”
Erdinç continued his words as follows; ‘Dilan Polat turned to me and said, I don’t know what I’m doing here. I don’t know these people. “We are being tried in the same file as people who threaten someone we don’t know,” he said.
