Engin and Dilan Polat were a very busy couple in Turkey when they were detained and arrested after their social media posts. While the Polat couple maintained their place on the agenda through court proceedings, the phenomenon couple was also the subject of the April 23 demonstrations.
The footage, allegedly shot in a primary school, showed a student performing a dance performance to Dilan Polat’s song ‘Enerci’. The demonstration ended when two students disguised as police arrested the student who was impersonating Dilan Polat.

Engin Polat’s mother, Şükran Polat, shared the reaction of a social media user to the images that attracted reaction on social media, on her own account. Mother-in-law Şükran Polat said, “Where are those who are making noise? Let the lawyers talk about this too. The mentality of the teacher who organizes such a show for children, the school officials who allow it, the school principal, the families who have their children in such an event? As for us, we are tiny.” “What will those who even comment on the child say about this? It’s a sick mentality, there is no other explanation,” he added to his story.
