Koç Holding, Turkey’s largest corporate group, constitutes one of the most important employment pillars of the country with its investments worth billions of dollars every year.
The billionaires list instantly published by Forbes Magazine, which lists the richest names of the world and Turkey, revealed that a nightmare week has been left behind for Koç Holding. In addition to the eldest member of the family, Mustafa Rahmi Koç and his sister Semahat Sevim Arsel, İpek Kıraç, who is the richest woman in Turkey, lost nearly 150 million dollars in assets in just one week.

In the list updated with weekly data, it was stated that İpek Kıraç, a member of the Koç family, who is known as the richest name in Turkey with a fortune of 3.6 billion dollars, suffered a loss of 52 million dollars in a week.
Semahat Sevim Arsel, who is İpek Kıraç’s aunt and focuses on the same investment areas, also experienced a loss of 52 million dollars in the last week, while Mustafa Rahmi Koç, the eldest member of the family, completed the previous week with a loss of 44 million dollars. The reason for the decreases is the weekly decreases in the investment preferences of billionaire names.
While three members of the family suffered a total loss of 148 million dollars, İpek Kıraç and Semahat Sevim Arsel continued to be the richest female names in Turkey.
Rahmi Koç maintained his place on the list as the 5th richest person in Turkey, with his total wealth falling to 3.1 billion dollars.
