IT IS EXPECTED TO COME TO THE ASSEMBLY BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR
The regulation aims to make local exchanges conducting cryptocurrency transactions auditable and transparent. There is also taxation of cryptocurrency trading. The legal regulation is expected to be submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly before the end of the year.
MINISTER ŞİMŞEK DRAW ATTENTION
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek also brought up the issue in his ministry’s budget presentation. Şimşek said that only one regulation was needed for Turkey to be removed from the Financial Action Force’s gray list, and emphasized that it was the cryptocurrency regulation.
