It has been reported that electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla will recall 1.1 million vehicles in the USA due to the windows closing too quickly and the possibility of people pinching their fingers.
According to the BBC’s report, the report prepared by the authorities in the USA showed that the windows may not respond correctly when an obstacle is detected in the vehicles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has stated that this is a safety violation. It was therefore decided to recall 1.1 million vehicles due to the windows closing too quickly and the possibility of people pinching their fingers.
In the statement made by Tesla, it was stated that the problem will be resolved with a software update.
The company discovered the issue with automatic windows during production testing in August. It was noted that there were no warranty claims, reports of accidents, injuries or deaths related to this problem.
Owners of problematic vehicles will be notified by letter from November 15th.
Company documents show that vehicles manufactured after September 13 have the updated software needed to fix the issue.
