Siirt Governorship The 9th Book Fair, hosted with the slogan “So that children can read”, has ended.

According to the statement made by the governorship, the fair, which lasted a week with the participation of 100 publishing houses and 60 writers, attracted great attention from the citizens.

The fair, where writers gave interviews, autograph sessions and various musical events for children, made a great contribution to the promotion of the city through culture, art and literature.

Governor Kemal Kızılkaya, who attended the last day events of the fair, thanked all individuals and organizations that supported the fair.

Kızılkaya, whose views were included in the statement, said that the fair, which opened its doors to book lovers with great enthusiasm and excitement, was combined with the enthusiasm of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day for children.

Stating that this year’s children’s day themed children’s musical shows were held, Kızılkaya said:

“The book fair, which has become a tradition by integrating with Siirt, has opened new horizons in the world of thought of our students. Interviews and autograph sessions were held with valuable authors for 7 days, and our world of ideas has become even richer. To all our authors who participated in the fair, which was held in the atmosphere of a cultural festival in our city, the city of peace and tolerance, “I would like to thank our publishing houses, our press, my very valuable citizens of Siirt, and all my colleagues who contributed to the realization of this meaningful organization.”
