Exhibition and book promotion event, EMU-It was organized with the support of SEN and Rüstem Kitabevi. Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Prof. Dr. Şebnem Hoşkara, EMU As a publishing house, we are publishing companies whose number and quality have increased especially in the last few years. EMU They stated that they decided to organize a series of events since January in order to make their publications available to the public and more visible. Four book meeting events were organized in January, March, April and May; He stated that they have an intention to turn these events into a big book fair. Stating that the fifth book meeting took place within the scope of this event, Prof. Dr. Şebnem Hoşkara, EMUHe expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported and contributed to the event, especially SEN.

EMU-SEN President Assoc. Dr. Ercan Hoşkara stated that they, as a union, were very happy to contribute to this event. Assoc. Prof. stated that unions should be a structure that not only pursues and struggles for the rights of its members, but also contributes to social activities, while being on the side of labor and social justice. Dr. Hoşkara stated that they are trying to support artists who need the support of such an organizational structure.

EMU Vice Rector for Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Conclusion Zorlu stated that participating in such events makes them very happy and proud. After the opening speeches, Kamiar Yazdani, the author of the book, explained the creation process of the book of sketches to the participants. Invited to the stage as the guest of honor of the event EMU Department of Architecture Retired Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Türkan Ulusu Uraz gave a lecture on the meaning and importance of sketches in architecture and design and shared her valuable knowledge with the art-loving audience, which included many people from the architectural environment.

After all the speeches, Kamiar Yazdani’s sketches were presented, EMUThe exhibition, sponsored by SEN, was opened and at the cocktail held afterwards, writer/artist Kamiar Yazdani signed his book.

Yazdani’s book titled “Lame Indecisiveness: The Story of Sketches” includes 52 sketches drawn from architectural examples, mainly from Cyprus, European countries, Turkey and Iran, between 2015 and 2023. In the book, the existence of lines as external realities, the concept of light in architecture, the existence and non-existence of this concept are questioned. The stories that come with the sketches are intended to reveal further meanings or concepts and reflect the most inner and emotional concerns that the sketch artist experiences while producing the sketches.
