Nur Esen’s works are in Cumhuriyet with the exhibition “Sculptures on My Canvas” – Last Minute Culture-Art News

Nur Esen’s painting exhibition titled “Sculptures on My Canvas” was held yesterday at the Cumhuriyet Cultural Center (CKM), located in the Ankara Representation of our newspaper Cumhuriyet. The exhibition, where beautiful works of art were presented to art lovers, was attended by our Newspaper’s Ankara Representative Sertaç Eş, our writer Işık Kansu, A. Celal Binzet, ADD Chairman Hüsnü Bozkurt, ADD General Board members, Oğuz Oyan, Civil Businessmen Association President Gürcan Bulat and his deputy Hikmet Yavuzyiğit, Bulgarian News Agency Ankara Representative Nora Cholakova, Dr. Metin Aslan and former Deputy Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Uluç Gürkan attended. Speaking about her works, Nur Esen said, “I have been working with high textures since 2015. Later it turned into a statue. I also make sculptures and paintings. I really enjoy combining both. “I don’t know where it should be placed within art, but I think it is a brave departure,” he said. The exhibition can be visited until May 9.

WHO IS NUR ESEN?

Born in the lands of Erzincan, Nur Esen started her education life, where she lived a life intertwined with art, at Gazi Education Institute, Department of Painting and Crafts, Graphics Major. Esen graduated from Mürşide İçmeli Workshop in 1977, and after working as a civil servant for eleven years, the stories and tales he wrote for children appeared in some children’s magazines. However, his real passion was painting and sculpture. Esen went to Copenhagen in 1988, where he continued his painting studies in various workshops and made pattern works in the field of textiles. Esen, who opened his first solo exhibition in 1994 and his sculpture exhibition in 1996, brought together art lovers and participated in many joint and group exhibitions at home and abroad. Esen, who is also a member of the United Painters and Sculptors Association, served as a board member and General Secretary of the association. Nur Esen’s understanding of art can be defined as the expression of instant influences. What he sees, listens to, reads and watches are the traces reflected on his canvas. The artist, who especially loves sculpting, brought his sculptures to the canvas, adding dimension to the textures and creating sculptural works without compromising the integrity of the painting. The sculptural figures on his canvases add dynamism to his works by creating different shadows at every hour of the day. While enthusiasm and excitement always remain in Esen’s art, it is also known that the artist’s search will never end.
