Konya Journalists Association met with Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya at the Ministry’s headquarters building within the scope of its Ankara visits last week. Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who is also from Konya, received KGC President Sefa Özdemir and the members of the board of directors in his office. Drawing attention to the activities carried out for the security of the country, ensuring public order and the peace of the people of the country, Minister Ali Yerlikaya also opened a special parenthesis for Konya.

THE SPIRIT OF TOGETHERNESS OF KONYA MEDIA IS REFLECTED IN ANKARA

Expressing his satisfaction with the visit of his fellow citizens from Konya, Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya pointed out that the spirit of unity and solidarity lies at the basis of Konya’s administrative, political and bureaucratic weight throughout Turkey. Stating that the positive results brought about by Konya’s ability to act together in the media sector, as in every field, are also felt in Ankara, Minister Yerlikaya said, “Today, the Konya Journalists Association, which is the common denominator of the Konya press, has a pluralist management and a voice in which all media organizations throughout Konya are represented.” “It is among the most important factors in making Konya’s voice heard loudly with its unity,” he said. As the Ministry of Internal Affairs, based on fundamental rights and freedoms; They carry out their duties in a people-oriented manner, including internal security, ensuring the safety of coastal and territorial waters, effective border management and security, creating migration policies, establishing effective provincial and district management with the coordination of public services, creating a disaster-resistant society, providing population and citizenship services and supporting civil society. Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that the idea of ​​establishing the peace and security of each citizen lies at the basis of all the operations that have attracted attention throughout the country recently. Minister Ali Yerlikaya noted that they hold security meetings focused on peace and security at regular intervals with the participation of deputy ministers, Gendarmerie General Commander, Police General Director, Coast Guard Commander and relevant unit managers, and that they continue to fight quickly and effectively against all criminal elements as a result of the decisions taken in these meetings. Our fight against terrorist organizations and their collaborators, organized crime groups, poison dealers, city bandits and all criminal centers; will continue with perseverance and determination. Our heroic security forces are on duty 365 days a year, summer and winter, day and night. I want our dear nation to know that we will not tolerate any terrorists. He concluded his words by saying, “With the superior efforts of our security forces, we will continue our fight with determination for the peace, unity and solidarity of our nation until the last terrorist is neutralized.”

Speaking on behalf of the Konya Journalists Association Management, President Sefa Özdemir thanked Minister Ali Yerlikaya for accepting them and said, “In Konya, as in Turkey in general, meticulous work on safety and security issues and the elimination of criminal organizations as a result is on a noticeable scale. Today, if we can live in peace in Turkey and Konya, if we lead a life free from terrorism, if we can see from a civilian perspective the struggle put forth to keep our entire society, especially our children and youth, away from drugs and similar bad habits, it is due to the intense efforts of you and your team. we see and know.
